I liked it enough to finish, and the idea of it being a transcript of his defence speech made it more interesting, but my word did it feel rambling throughout. He was clearly a very clever and potentially very articulate man, but there were points where he lost my attention throughout. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

This was great! Pretty much a socratic monologue instead of a "dialogue" but filled with tension and drama as to keep one entertained. Not sure if to rate this as fiction or not, because Plato has definitely taken artistic liberties with the subject matter to integrate his own philosophical musings into it. Inspiring for the modern man, like a golden gateway into philosophy. Not sure if it's more than that though, our current times call for a lot more than black-and-white ideas of goodness and wickedness (a lot of this is very vague). Also the sexism really shows through and is a reminder of how far we've come as a society. ( )
