Even though I have not read either of the other books currently available in the series, I don't really feel as if I am missing more than just the little details. Coming Back is all about Mick, Jessi and Adam coming back together, and like I said, even though I wasn't around for the first parts of their relationship, I know all the important parts from just them talking everything out. Yes, theirs is an unconventional relationship. but it seemed to me that it was what they needed. They are strong apart, but stronger together. Jessi was a little annoying, but both Mick and Adam were perfect with her and that is all that one can ask for. When I first started reading, I thought it was the 2nd book. So I have not read [b:Falling Under|23119313|Falling Under (Ink & Chrome, #2)|Lauren Dane|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1434988942s/23119313.jpg|25963963], but will go back and do that soon. I have read [b:Opening Up|23119319|Opening Up (Ink & Chrome, #1)|Lauren Dane|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1417512833s/23119319.jpg|25963954], so at least I knew who most of the players were. If you haven't read the first two books, you will likely be okay - but it would enrich your experience to read them in order. We have an M/M/F relationship in this book covering a variety of my favorite types of characters. There is Jessilyn, a big-hearted heroine who is so sweet your teeth will ache. Then Mick, a bad boy biker who likes bare knuckle brawling. And finally Adam, an architect who is both rich and dominant. We met Mick in the earlier books of the series, but I couldn't remember much about him as I started reading. The dynamics between these three was complicated, sweet and steamy. I liked that their relationship worked whether they were paired as a couple or a trio. The three banded together against those who were not supportive of their polyamorous lifestyle, and were supportive of one another no matter what each was facing individually. That being said, due to the history of the threesome, it seemed like we fell into the middle of the story. I wasn't always sure what was going on and it seemed that a lot of the action happened off the page. I think if we would have been in on the story from the beginning, the angst and drama might have drawn us into the relationship more. The story was also very dialogue-driven, which made it harder for me to connect fully because I couldn't get into the head of any one character. When the dialogue was bouncing around between the three, it was not always readily apparent who was talking so I had to go back and re-read paragraphs more carefully to figure it out. I am a big fan of [a:Lauren Dane|226816|Lauren Dane|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1212013773p2/226816.jpg], she is great at writing these super-steamy romances with mouthwatering heroes. I enjoyed this story, but its not one of my favorites when compared to some of her others that I have read. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars / 5 flames. I was very confused at the beginning of the book. These three friends meet up after years spent apart and almost immediately almost pick up where they left off. There wasn't a lot of back story to it in order for you to understand how they came together and why they broke it off. I love books with lots of romance and sizzling sex, but there was just too much sex and not enough story. I enjoyed having Asa, Duke, PJ and Carmella make appearances here and there While I love Lauren Dane's books, this one just didn't do it for me. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

This story is a tricky read, in that it constantly switches between the perspectives of three different characters, abruptly shifting just when the reader settles in the head of one of them. Character development also suffers from the constantly changing point of view. Some of the inherent problems of a multiple partner relationship are explored, but many are left to the imagination of the reader. As with all of the stories in this series, there are many questions that are never answered and issues that are left unresolved. Overall, though, as difficult as this story probably was to write, it has a relatively satisfying ending. ( )
