I was browsing in a bookstore in the poetry section, and saw a book entitled "Map". Immediately intrigued by a geographic soounding title, I decided to skim through it. I was quite affected by the poems I read: Funeral I, Starvation Camp Near Jaslo, Dream, The Railrod Station, A Paleolithic Fertility Fetish, and Map. The latter is the final poem in this lengthy volume which collects nearly all her work. I liked her use of imagery and her way of casting an spell for you to discern in her words. ( )
