Although I didn’t read the first book of the series, still this was easy to read. The book is a non-stop fast-paced action, with a “superhuman” hero and several bad guys. Unfortunately the bad guys don’t live long enough to understand their reasons for being bad.Overall, I recommend this book as a light, quick read. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. It was okay, but not good enough to get involved in the series. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. I enjoyed this book.. fast paced and interesting to read... but it was very confusing to me because I had not been informed it was part of a series...I wish I would have read the first... Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. Black Tide is the second book in a series that revolves around Matt Rowley. The story is fast-paced and there's a family dynamic that makes Matt an interesting character, but the story flows direct out of the first book, so it takes some time and dedication to the series if you really want to understand what's going on with the characters. By itself, the book would be confusing, but in terms of a series this is worth the time. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Matt Rowley is back, and the danger (from Book 1), lingers. No. Intensifies. After the destruction of the nephilim, the augmented people have been saved, returning to "normal." Except Matt. His regenerative abilities, and superhuman strength returns. As do the whispers. Cults spring up all over the globe. Matt Rowley may be the only one who can battle the gathering forces. As usual, Matt Rowley depends on his wife, is inspired by his son (and family), and realizes it is dangerous trusting anyone!
In almost first-person shooter video game style, this military/thriller is (like the first book) packed-full of action. There is not a dull chapter in the book. Freivald incorporates unique and exotic locales. The contemporaneous story lines keep the tension taut. Grow your fingernails. My guess? You'll be chewing away at them page after page.
I most definitely recommend reading JADE SKY first. But, have BLACK TIDE handy because once you start the series, I'm not sure you'll be able to stop!
