This short story is filled with short sentences and rhymes. It's about a mother and a child llama and the love that they share for each other. It is a super cute short read that is great for beginning readers. This is best for primary students. ( )

I liked reading "Llama Llama I Love You" by Anna Dewdney for three reasons. First, I found the illustrations appealing because you can see the love being depicted throughout the story (ex: llama is making cards with his friends, giving presents/cards, and giving his mom a chocolate heart). Second, I like how all of the Llama Llama books are centered around his mama (ex: In all Llama Llama books, his mama is present). Third, I enjoyed reading this text because of its focus on friendship. I think this instantly makes the book a good read (ex: little llama is hanging out with his friends, exchanging cards, and giving hugs). "Llama Llama I Love You" is a text about friendship. Little llama shows his love through cards and hugs. The message of this text is about friendship and love. ( )

One of many Llama Llama books that are great for preschool or younger. Books like these are important to young readers because it helps create a healthy backbone to reading. ( )
