Drip Drop by Sarah Weeks is about a mouse who can not get any sleep because his roof won't stop leaking. Though the book is a simple concept, the rhyming and illustrations keep you interested and always wondering what could happen next. This would be a very fun book to read to any young children or for new readers that are just beginning to learn. ( ) If you are looking for an easy book for a beginning reader to read, this book is for you. The words in the book are easy to read and the rhyme schemes are fun to read. The only character in the book, Pip Squeak, teaches the reader a lesson about perseverance. Pip Squeak tries hard to solve a problem he is having, but fails many times. If at first you don't succeed, you have to keep trying. Drip Drop by Sarah Weeks is a simple book that tells the story of a mouse with a leaky house. When it rains, Pip Squeak's house leaks and it keeps him up all night. He tries to catch all of the rain drops, but a new leak keeps appearing and prevents him from falling asleep. Finally, the next more the sun arises and it stops raining, but Pip Squeak is exhausted so instead of going to play with his friends he goes straight to bed. This would be an entertaining story for children, but they do not learn much from the story. It is an easy read that feature onomatopoeia and a series of rhymes that makes learning to read fun! Drip, Drop is about a mouse named Pip Squeak who has a dilemma. While its raining, his house began to leak. Pip Squeak uses different pots and other items in his house to stop the leaking. All Pip Squeak wants to do is sleep. Soon the sun comes out and the leaking stops and he is able to sleep. This story has a lot of rhyming words.
