Noelle moved to Fool's Gold to reboot her life. Opening her own themed store, The Christmas Attic, she's planning to set down roots in this small mountain town. Gabriel is a military doctor who's been forced onto leave after injuring his hand. While he's pleased to spend time with his twin brother in Fool's Gold, he's less than thrilled that the rest of the family will be joining him. Gabriel has every intention of leaving town as soon as Christmas is over. But can his blossoming relationship with Noelle change his mind?

I was looking for a fluffy Christmas romance and was sorely disappointed with this book. The writing was awkward, the dialogue left me cringing at the weird oversharing early in the meetings of all the characters, and the resolution of the romance was fast and highly unbelievable. I did, however, crack up over one sentence in this novel. While the female lead is thinking over her relationship with the male lead she lists a bunch of his good characteristics and the sentence ended with "and he knew about cats." Now if that doesn't leave you swooning... ;) ( )
