I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but Roland Smith takes you on an adventure through the sub culture of New York City. I found it to be pretty interesting. It is a bit higher level for fifth graders. But I liked the back and forth of the main character, Pat, and him listening to his brother, Coop's, recordings. ( ) A page-turner. Pat is heartbroken when his older brother Coop up and disappears. Coop sends a digital voice recorder and the two start corresponding, but when Coop stops answering Pat is determined to find his brother. His quest takes him to NYC and far, far underground. No small feat for the very claustrophobic Pat. The brothers uncover hidden communities where getting back topside is a matter of life and death. I don't know how much the Weather Underground advances the story, doesn't seem to be explained too well for the audience who will have no context for this group. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
