This book would be good for children to learn about taking turns in being first and that it is not nice to be mean to others just be first. ( ) This story teaches children an important lesson in life. In the story, there is a pig whom always wanted to be first at everything. He wanted to be first in line, first on the bus, first off the bus, first in the water, first out the water, first in the picnic backset, etc. He didn't care if he stepped on anyone, shoved anyone, or hurt anyone, as long as he was first. One day, he heard a voice ask "Who would care for a sandwich?". The pig, as usual, said me first. The pig ends up having to care for a sandwitch, not a sandwich. Because the pig was selfish and always wanted to be first, this taught him to take turns and let someone else go first sometimes. This story teaches children about their feelings. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Pinkerton the pig always manages to be first until he rushes for a sandwich and it turns out to be not the edible kind.
"Pinkerton es un cerdito que siempre quiere ser el primero. Durante una excursión con los cerdo-scouts, sale disparado con la esperanza de volver a comer y se encuentra con una extraña y mágica criatura que le enseña una importantísima (¡e inolvidable!) lección."--Page 4 of cover.
