McSweeney's has won multiple literary awards, including two National Magazine Awards for fiction, and has had numerous stories appear in The Best American Magazine Writing, the O. Henry Awards anthologies, and The Best American Short Stories. Even though this issue is full of mainstream, heavy-hitting authors, including two recently discovered, unpublished stories by Shirley Jackson, none were apparently memorable to me. The issue is a collection of 10 pamphlets contained within a nice slipcase. Bob Odenkirk's "Selected Hooey" is an excerpt from his humor book "A Load of Hooey" published by McSweeney's later in 2014.
