I can't say enough good about Patricia Veryan's novels. To label her a romance novelist is to simplify the stories she writes. Her characters interact beautifully, and develop strong personalities and morals that entertain and capture respect. Action abounds in her books, and Sanguinet's Crown is no exception. Far beyond a normal romance, this book introduces a national crisis in order to expand the plot of the story and increase our investment in reading about the success or failure of each character as the story's high tension actions play out to the end.
