Although there was not a lot about Christmas, and it was mostly about roses and weddings, I enjoyed this book this Christmas week. I learned some things about roses I didn't know and hopefully take that knowledge forward. ( )

Oh, my Christmas is on its way! This story will touch your heart and bring the Christmas season to full bloom. I loved this book and its characters. Since I am a rose lover and grower the focus on old roses added another great dimension. A darling Amish couple, Bess Riehl and Amos Lapp are headed toward their wedding day in a few weeks. Amos is preparing to paint their apartment over his family's barn as Bess' family finishes her dress. In the midst of all this, Bess discovers an old rose in the greenhouse. They own many old roses as part of their thriving rose business, but this one has been hiding. This rose brings with it a history that changes everyone's life as Christmas approaches. I became more absorbed as the pages went by with several twists and turns added in. This quick read involves several Amish families in need of forgiveness, honesty, and grace which the author delivers beautifully. This is a must read for the Christmas season especially if you collect Christmas books. I stayed in a bath gone cold to finish it!

Suzanne Woods Fisher is, by far and away, one of my absolute favorite authors!


She wasn’t always…

The first book of hers that I read, annoyed me and I actually stopped reading it. Then I realized, after reading another, that it wasn’t the book that was annoying me – I was feeling what the character was feeling… COMPLETELY!


I get into books but I very rarely get into them quite like that!

WOW!

And Christmas at Rose Hill Farm was no exception! I was pulled into the story immediately and I LOVE it!

I feel confident that everyone who reads it will feel the same way! And they will immediately want to go out and snatch up every other book she has written.

THANKFULLY she has written quite a few. And there are more coming all the time!

I love the idea behind this story too. Before I picked up Christmas at Rose Hill Farm, I had no idea what a “Lost” Rose or Rose Rustler even were! And Suzanne uses this wonderful story to teach us not only the meaning of those two things, but the powerful pull and strength of love – across distance and time!

GREAT Read any time of year! But especially wonderful to curl up with at Christmastime.

I wish I know this book was first before the stoney ridge series, which I read all 6 before this book. At the same time it was a wonderful conclusions/beginning to how both family's got started. I love reading Suzanne books. I love the slight mystery to them. I love the simple love stories, that make my heart jump around to know there is a greater love out there. the love for the lord is alway a pleasure in every book. loved the Angel in this book it made me want to read more just to find out. ( )

Enjoy This Heartwarming Story!

Christmas at Rose Hill Farm is another great story by Suzanne Woods Fisher. I haven’t read a book by her that I didn’t love. In this story, I felt the abuse, the heartbreak, the bitterness, and the unforgiveness that Billy Lapp was feeling. I’ve been in his shoes but with a different story to tell. Being accused of something cuts deep into your soul. Forgiveness doesn’t come easily.

Bess Riehl received her love of roses from her Grandmother. Bess hates the thought of leaving her beloved Rose Hill Farm once she is married. Married...shouldn’t she be happier at the thought of her upcoming wedding?

This is a heartwarming story of love, faith, forgiving, healing, and moving on. Your emotions will be on a roller coaster ride of highs and lows.

I highly recommend this book to everyone. Pick up a copy today! ( )
