Absolutely loved these books, read them when I was a child and reread the first few for this class. While each book has a similar plot line, what makes these really unique is that they hold details and what I would consider nooks and crannies that you can easily get lost in. I would really like to use these for intermediate readers instead of the really bland mysteries that are coming out today, for example the "A to Z mysteries". I read those with students and found that they weren't nearly as interesting or captivating. But I know realistically that they are probably too old school to translate to a younger generation.

The Nancy Drew books are about a girl detective who loves solving mysteries with the help of her friends. These books are good for children who are need of a good chapter book who also love reading about mysteries. ( )
