Crispin has suspicions about his father's death. There is no one he can confide in, because there is no one he doesn't suspect. He is playing a dangerous game to catch the killer. When a new tutor comes, he must decide whether to confide in him, or continue alone.
It would have helped to appreciate this book more if I had read up on classic Greek, but it isn't essential. The mystery was no mystery for me, but the book was worth reading because of the characters and their relationships. The hero sets a wonderful example of agape love. ( )
