This book is about a dog who views himself as his own dog. He tells his point of view as though he is the dominant one in the relationship between him and his owner. This book would be a fun book to read to younger readers. There is no major theme or lesson to be learned, but it is a lighthearted read and it would be a funny book for young readers to read. My story time kids really liked this one. It's the story of a dog that doesn't have an owner but owns himself. The sort of goofy watercolor pictures fit well with the amusing bits as the dog fetches his own slippers and throws his own stick. But one day he meets a man who follows him home. So the dog takes him in and teaches him tricks and generally puts up with him and they become best friends. The kids laughed but the smart little beggars wondered how the dog had his own house before he had a person. :-) I’m My Own Dog is a picture book that has a funny humor around it. It shows a dog that follows his own rules and how he loves life. You really see how the dog thinks with the dialogue. The illustrations match what is being said and it has nice colorful pictures. I found the book to be slow and more about the pictures. It’s a good book for kindergarteners, the jokes are to the point and even the art work can be kind of silly. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

A dog without a human companion fetches his own slippers and curls up at his own feet but cannot reach a certain itchy spot in the middle of his back, compelling him to leash a poor lonely human who will loyally offer a helpful scratch. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
