Good modeling of helping a friend while taking care of yourself too! ( ) A tiny toy bunny named Bitsy finds herself lost in the forest in this sweet story of friendship, and overcoming our fear, in order to help those who need us. Having fallen out of her little girl's pocket, Bitsy discovers that the seemingly frightening bear she encounters is really a very gentle creature, one who, despite his sleepiness, and a strong desire for his winter den, sees her home. But will he make it to his den afterward, with no Bitsy to keep him awake? Setting out the next day, through the cold snow, our little leporine heroine decides to make sure that her sleepy ursine friend is appropriately housed for the winter... After seeing Brave Bitsy and the Bear given a glowing review by an online friend, and noting that the illustrator, Tiphanie Beeke, is the same artist who worked on Fletcher and the Falling Leaves, and its two sequels (all of which I enjoyed), I decided to give it a try. I'm glad that I did, as it really is an appealing little book, with an endearing story, and charming watercolor artwork. Young readers who enjoy animal tales, or stories of friendship, are sure to take it to heart. Little Bitsy gets lost a friendly bear takes her home, but Bitsy must keep the bear awake so he does not hibernate too early. Once home, Bitsy gets worried about Bear and if he made it home for hibernation. Bitsy uses a ball of yarn so she won't get lost and finds Bear. He did not make it home, Bitsy and all of Bear's woodland friends make Bear a cozy place to sleep for the winter. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
