This one was kind of cute. I liked a lot of the details -- the great grandmother pirate, and her ghastly demise (swallowed by a giant shrimp); the gold tooth; the family's pirate destiny. The illustrations are colorful and a bit zany. My favorite is the rather scruffy looking dad, with his scraggly (piratical) beard. ( ) This book tells the story of Scarlett wanting to be a pirate like her old folks. Her family has always said do not mention the word pirates because that is not what they are.
