4.25 HEARTS--Did someone order a MM "Scandal"-like story without the politics? Your order's up!

For a debut, "The Dangerous Seduction" was deceptively seductive. Well for me. I don't mind cheating in fiction. There's cheating in this book so if it is a limit, this might not be the book for you. I have warned.

"The Dangerous Seduction" is a novel featuring an upcoming newbie lawyer, Ryan who failed as an actor and chose being in the cutthroat world of Joesph Van Aardt as his backup. He landed a covetous position with Van Aardt, lawyer mega star with a shady past and shadier disposition. Ryan who is a Texas boy and engaged to Daisy has fought his urges to have sex with other men most of his life. There were slip ups but nobody seduced him so thoroughly like Joseph.

Joseph...he's not a good guy. You might even hate him. He left a sour taste in mouth. But I am the kind of reader that can respect good game. And Joseph might be every dirty name you can think of but played Ryan like a frigging fiddle.

And I LOVED it.

Ryan was like a guppy and Joseph the eternally hungry shark. And the best part is Ryan didn't seem to know about it. He was pretty naive, at times. He cheats on his fiancee, he changes degrades himself just for Joseph's time. And though he is weak, I dug it. I had to see how far he'd go.

The cheating aspect does not take most of the book. And the outcome? Well let's just say it was vindictive, necessary and juvenile at the same time. Sometimes the drama was a heavy handed but it wasn't at a constant 'oh my god what else is going to happen' pace. The writing is solid, the suspense especially the last 20%! (I did NOT see that coming)

It was sexy, not too suspense heavy that you couldn't follow along and the characters were intriguing (they might piss you off but jerks need love sometimes too). And besides, Joseph and Ryan deserve each other. They are piss-you-off worthy trust me with all the lies and deceptions they sling around. I'm trying so hard not to spoil it but this is my kind of book.

And that epilogue = Whoa!

A.N. Bond, please continue writing. You had me at the edge of my seat. Regardless of my few minor issues, I was left intrigued. There'd better be a follow up book. Please. I really need it. This cliffhanger is going to give me heartburn which equals a solid read in my book. Hot sexy page turner!" ( )
