Miles gets a new saxophone for his birthday and could not stop playing it. He finally joined a band called the Swamp Band. One day the Swamp Band played music for a party of alligators. After the performance the alligators were about to prepare dinner but the swamp band realized they were the dinner! So in order to get away from being eaten, they sang them a lullaby to put the alligators to sleep and the band could run away.

Easy Picture book: This was a fun story with delightful colorful pictures. The story had a fast pace and I could imagine if you sang the parts that were intended to be sung, children would love it. The animals in the swamp band are invited to play at the swamp ball, but the guests are all alligators. Little do our furry musicians know, when the ball is over and the gators have worked up an appetite....let's just say some fast singing/thinking will be in order! The last page features the score for our swamp ditty and suggestions on how to make more verses of your own. ( )

A boy gets a new saxamaphone, he plays it too loud. His mama tells him to stop, but he just goes into town, forms a band, which is too loud, the town tells them to leave. Finally, the band finds the perfect audience, a riverboat full of alligators. When the music ends the band discovers it is going to be supper. So they play one last lullaby, too escape the alligators. ( )
