One animals dung is another's treasure! I just learned more about the dung beetle than I ever cared to know, but this was an informative book with beautiful and detailed illustrations. It would be great for an elementary lesson on insects, animal science, or even the circle of life. The book has a thorough glossy with bolded terms and pronunciation of unfamiliar words and there is some additional information and scientific facts about dung beetles in the back, there is also a brief bibliography. The book would be a good addition to any elementary library. ( )

While this book is a little young, I think all students can benefit from it. They can help the environment, and they know what they have to do. This is a cool book to show that different animals have different jobs in nature. ( )

There are three kinds of dung beetles, dwellers, rollers, and tunnelers, each with its own way of working. Competition is fierce as they carry on their work, so that adds the tension of plot to this engaging life cycle book. ( )
