I received a hardback copy of the book. The book was written by Karen Williamson and illustrated by Christine Tappin. I wanted to read the book for my kids and great niece. The book presents 3, 5, and 10 minute stories. In the table of contents, you can see the story and length. The stories are written in simple language for the kids as well. For example, the first story is a 3 minute story, where as Noah's Ark is a 10 minute story. I can read the 3 and 5 minute stories to my kids, and the 10 minute stories to my great niece, since she has a longer attention span. My kids enjoyed the book. Wonderful Bible stories to use with your young ones. There are some that are very quick, only three minutes. The longest is only ten minutes. The books is geared to 3 to 5 year old, but my 6 and 8 year old look forward to their story each night. I feel really good about the anticipation that is shown, and I know how much time I have available. Don't miss putting this one on your shelf, the stories are excellent, and start from the Old Testament through the New. Then there are the wonderful, and beautiful illustrations. I'm so glad to have this book! I received this book from Kregel Publications, and was not required to give a positive review. Are you looking for a great book of bedtime stories to read to your children? Would you like to share the Bible stories that you’re reading during your daily devotional time with your child? If so, Karen Williamson has created the perfect solution! In her book, Candle Bedtime Bible, she has written 40 three, five and ten-minute Bible stories to read aloud to your children right before bed each night! When you look in the Contents, you will see a color-coded clock that tells you how long each story is so you can select the story according to your schedule. The stories feature a selection of Bible classics from both the Old and New Testament, starting “At The Very Beginning” with the Creation story and ending when “Jesus Returns To His Father.” The stories span several pages and feature the charming illustrations of Christine Tappin. As your children learn how to read, they will be able to grow into this book and read the stories for themselves. One thing I particularly like about the Candle Bedtime Bible is that, at the end of each story, Karen provides the actual Bible reference for your convenience. At the beginning of each story, in the yellow circle, you will find a number that indicates whether it is a 3, 5 or 10-minute story. Candle Bedtime Bible is a book that you and your children will love. This hardcover book makes a great addition to your family’s library and is appropriate for gift-giving! Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from the publisher for review purposes. However, the opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I enjoyed being able to use the Candle Bedtime Bible in the nursery at our church, the kids loved looking at the pictures and listening to the stories. This is a great book to have as an introduction to Bible stories for all young kids.
I received this book complimentary from Kregel Publications in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ( )
