Army veteran, Kennedy O'Brien and her two friends Paige and Lorelei have opened a full service PI office called Fool Me Once. Kennedy occasionally takes on jobs for her father and uncle who own Buddy's Bail Bonds. Their latest bail jumper is alien fearing Martin McFadden who not only skipped out on his bond but also stole a Chihuahua named Tinkerdoodle. Unbeknownst to Kennedy, her father has also hired her former husband's best friend Griffin Crawford to work with her on the case. The only thing slowing down the hijinks ensuing during the chase is the attraction the Kennedy and Griffin share.

Shame on You is a cute romantic suspense that is too short to include much romance or suspense. The story is fun with lots of laugh out loud moments, but it is completely over the top and farfetched. Also, the length of the book doesn't allow time for the development of characters or the mystery. Overall, with just a few more pages, Shame on You could have been a really good comedic romantic suspense. ( )

Action and an adorable puppy and laugh out loud funny.. maybe a bit of romance too ;) loved it! ( )

CENTRAL FEMALE CHARACTER: (forgot her name) – Sarcastic; carries a punch that won’t quit; ex-Army; gorgeous eyes; mother of 2 daughters, “Okay, fine. You aren’t going out in public looking like that.”

CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: GRIFFIN CRAWFORD – He is totally hot on his Harley, six pack and sexy smile au extraordinaire.

SYNOPSIS: Written in first tense. McFadden is proving to be a challenge. Griffin is really getting on her nerves. Paige will not go anywhere unless her makeup is perfect. Lorelei is the voice of reason. Dad is considering a new business after discovering that guys want to break into the “back door”. Uncle Wally continuously fights with his brother about a business name. Sven is the best hair stylist ever.

WHAT I LIKED: This book is so HILARIOUS that I laughed many times with tears in my eyes. “……..’Griffin Crawford, King of Penises’”. Hilarious.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: PROFANITY and using the LORD’s name in vain really drove me crazy.

OVERALL RATING: (4) stars because filthy language and references to “GD” otherwise would have been a 5 on my hit list. ( )

First let me start with the length of the book. Don't let it fool you. It may only be 140 pages, but it is 140 pages of fun! There is no spot lacking in this story. Tara used every single page to her advantage, or ours. Either way, this isn't one of the novellas that leaves you dumbfounded and feeling used. Well, you might feel slightly used, but only in a Tara Sivec kind of way!

So the meat and potatoes of the story. Yes, it's a "love story". But only as Tara can do, it is so much more! It's GD entertaining all of the way through. I mean nothing smells of success than sexually charged attractions that should be forbidden.

Kennedy and Griffin. I shouldn't have to say anymore. But I guess you expect me to. Griffin is Kennedy's ex-husband's former best-friend. Forbidden. Off limits. Never gonna happen. Well, maaaaaybe... If Kennedy can get over herself and not beat him to catching that GD bail-jumper!

Witty. All of the supporting characters. I can't seem to sum them up any other way. I found myself in tears over these characters. They added that extra umph we all need to keep the story-line even more fabulous.

Are you still wanting more? Well, those that follow my reviews know, there is a good chance you won't get a whole lot more from me. I am not the type to read and tell. I will only tell you what you need to know. And what you need to know that this is almost as funny as The Chocolate Lovers Series. Yes, I said almost. I am not sure if Tara would ever top those books. If she does, well, I am in. Wait, I forgot my point. Oh, even though this isn't AS funny, it is still funny as GD hell!!!! It's a whole different story. It is in no way the same as others. It stands all by its lonesome on a cliff waiting for a companion. So just read it. I promise you won't be disappointed! ( )

Funny and quick read. Or listen, since my choice was the audiobook version of it. I kept giggling throughout the story and that's always a positive for me.

Perhaps a bit too trying at times but those moments didn't take anything away from my overall enjoyment. Great way to spend a couple of hours. ( )
