She's a rising opera diva. Can they blend their two perfect, fabulous lives and find love?" I rarely read contemporary romance. I find myself hating the characters and rolling my eyes. I think it's a sign that I'm getting old. I can't say I hated the characters here, but I found myself doing a large amount of eye rolling. Unrealistic? Yes. Ridiculous at times? Yes. But the story was sweet and Brandon, while a perfectly drawn romantic hero with literally no flaws, was likeable. But unrealistic. Seriously, real life is nothing like these two. The end was especially ridiculous but perfect for those wanting a HEA. Thank you Harlequin's Carina Press for this ebook copy which I received to provide an honest review. The book is funny, interesting romance story, perfect for gloomy rain days. I enjoyed both characters Emily and Brandon. their dialog was so enjoyable and funny. So, the two main characters meet at very weird circumstances and faith moves them to spend the rest of 24 hours together, followed by misunderstanding which makes the fast ideas rise and set the most crazy action two strangers can think about - engagement. This comes with benefits, as both characters are busy adults in their own fields, and the engagement literary bursts into high demand professional bookings. As the story develops I liked that the author has chosen to go into depth of situations, they were great to get to know each characteristics and wonder whats gonna follow. There are ups and downs and small dramatic situations with temperamental personalities, funny! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Brandon is a trip. In the beginning I couldn't tell if he was really sweet or a bit crazy. It's a good story, very romantic with some great comedic lines, and some tears. I liked that the Sharks were portrayed as party guys, but sweet. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Excellent book! This is my first Julie Brannagh book but she has definitely gained a new fan. Really enjoyed her writing style and the characters were amazing. They felt very real, like they could live right next door. The pace of the story was excellent. It felt like the relationship moved along at a normal progression rather than a rushed immediate love. I will definitely be reading all the books in this series and highly recommend this one! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

All's fair in Love and Football . . . Emily Hamilton doesn't trust men. She's much more comfortable playing the romantic lead in front of a packed house onstage than in her own life. So when NFL star and alluring ladies' man Brandon McKenna acts as her personal white knight, she has no illusions that he'll stick around. However, a misunderstanding with the press throws them together in a fake engagement that yields unexpected (and breathtaking) benefits. Every time Brandon calls her "Sugar," Emily almost believes he's playing for keeps--not just to score. Can she let down her defenses and get her own happily ever after?
