And the frame would make very little sense if you hadn't read at least the first Ever After High and probably the second. I found the questions after the end quite annoying - I presume they're meant to inspire discussion in a class or the like, but what they did for me was distract me from actually thinking about the story. Stories - the pattern that was supposed to be followed and the comments from the two sisters who tried to escape it. The pattern is pure fairy tale - as in, actions without any clear motivations (just, that's the way it's supposed to go) and very simplistic characters. I find myself very interested in Bella and Brutta and hope we find them, or at least more of what happened to them, in later Ever After High books - beyond their implications for the effects of Raven's choice, they sound like interesting people. As usual with Shannon Hale's stories, I find the implications more interesting than what's written - partly because it is written for children (not even YA, younger than that). Nice story, I might even reread it at some point. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
