Be sure to have book two on hand when you begin this smartly written story. I thoroughly enjoyed Dan's life change and the way he went about it. I think that Nick is a good guy but he may be a little out of touch. I love the character Patsy but don't trust all that sugar. Mr. Webb ha created an engaging town and well put together characters but he ended the book on a cliff hanger. Definitely not my favorite ending but I'm on to book two now to find a killer and why Dan is in the middle of the hunt. ( )

I cannot stop saying it time after time: Reading to T.A. Webb is a delight, pure enjoyment for a variety of reasons:
* a pace perfectly carried,
* creation of characters with multiple layers that give deepness and verisimilitude to them.
* a flowing prose that does not gloat with big words, but instead with plain language achieve a lyricism and a romanticism that rarely falls in the excessively sweetened
* always interesting casts, much more which mere satellites. In this case with a handful of adorable women (Patsy, Charity, Amy and Davonna),

The only niggle that I find in this story is that it seems incongruent to me that somebody like Dan, a experienced lawyer, with a mind apparently as sharp as his tongue, had had so little insight as much in the matters of the firm - that Charity and Davonna definitely had perceived at least partially - as in what refers to Abe and Gary. ( )
