Book Review on The Rise of a Star Lebron James

After reading throughout this book, "Rise of a Star Lebron James" by David Lee Morgan Jr, I realized the narrator during the story seemed to have close ties with Lebron James to have a thorough book about most of his life. The intensity and emotions that each player goes through when taking on the challenge of another school gave a good scenery as if the reader would be in the game itself. Seeing it through the eyes of the player and the joys or emotional disdain through victory or loss. What really surprised me is how adaptive Lebron James is, considering he played another sport beyond basketball, football. As in the book describing his natural instincts and great performance skill in the sport in such a small period of time.
A true natural athlete, but other than great skill and adaptive performance, came with great responsibility of his fame such as the intruding and wanting crowd and troubling paparazzi. Introducing a variety of characters such as Terry, Curt, Gloria, Freda, Dambrot and the Fab Five which gave Lebron much confidence and helped him learn more about himself. The settings constantly changing because of his family wanting to give him a proper environment to be raised to be a mature and bright young man, which in time succeeded despite the many dangers lurking about Though overall of the people included in his life, he admired most which was his coach Dambrot who prepared him with the skills to be a professional, his mother who raised him alone with will and support while watching his games with Eddie Jackson, who he recognized closest by calling him father.
This boy being born in a dangerous neighborhood and easily corrupted environment which may be a bad influence if not kept under supervision. But even that, he was given a lot of love because of the immense extended family he has. His role model Eddie Jackson who was a great athlete in both football and basketball which amazed Lebron by his skill level. Lebron considered Eddie as the father of Lebron, except no biologically. Being introduced to the sport of basketball when he was but a young lad. Making his way to middle school where his love of the game only increased, already showing much potential since 6th grade, schooling others during lunch who were 2 years older than him.
Moving to a new place called Akron where he went to High School and took on the sport of football. Of course because of his natural athleticism made him a better player before being reintroduced into basketball. Expectations rose along with Lebron's fame, being escalated to adults holding piles of Sports Illustrated begging for him to sign. He knew quite well that they were not for the kids but merely to sell them off for a high price. Being famous has its disadvantages such as not being able to be around his friends very much despite the adjusted schedule. He's felt the loss of many games, but learned from his mistakes, playing only harder so he won't make the same twice. This book is fairly well and appropriate to Lebron, great details as a young man who seemed almost prepared to be a great player in the future by his childhood into high school seen normally competitive and eager to play in any basketball game that matches his character. Compared to what I see in his expressions of the games he plays as a professional today. I enjoyed it and hope many others do as well.
This book which is about a young and talented player with the potential to be one of the greatest NBA stars, as seen in this detailed biography. I would recommend this book to any basketball fan who is looking for the ins and outs and the games through the eyes of a true basketball player. One with passion for the game, respect for his coaches, family and friends. Following a history amazed giving readers a second thought of how he would have turned out considering the places where he was raised at. The theme of this book is being a good sport no matter what the situation. Being respectful and having fun while playing is what matters as Lebron goes through this even though he was raised in a bad neighborhood. Being dependent on his family and having fun of playing and being respectful mattered to him most than any award or trophy presented to him. I hope the future readers of the book learn of the great example that Lebron James has become.
