Fisher artcle "Best Way To Entertain", a long article about the pleasures derived from fine food and good conversation. "More and more people are discovering that there is no greater pleasure than that of fine food and good conversation. Here, helping to prove this theory are seven recipes for seven brides." So begins M.F.K. Fisher's treatise that good food enjoyed with good company is the best way to entertain, and the food can be simply prepared. Includes several recipes which are appropriate for 1956, but are very dated by today's sensibilities. A recipe for "Seafood Muchi" in a cream sauce with black olives and pimentos sounds dreadful, but the cioppino made with "small, fresh sea creatures from North Beach" would be delicious today. Accompanied by a color photo of a BBQ at the Long Island estate of Anthony Drexel Duke. Also printed in Joan Reardon's anthology A Stew or a Story. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
