I read this book as three books but I suppose you could read all three novels right after the other. I found out lots about Charleston and especially the historic district. The major sleuth for all three crimes was Theodosia Browning, owner of a tea shoppe in the historic district. I'm not sure if there is something similar in Charleston but there should be. I also learned quite a bit about tea from these books. I've become a bit of a tea afficionado in the last few years so that was quite interesting.
