The bulk of this comic was set-up for the coming arc of war amongst the various groups of survivors. I don't consider this that much of a spoiler considering the very title of this collection, not to mention the fact that this has been talked about for how many issues now? The topic of the coming war, while interesting, wouldn't really make for an interesting comic build up on its own. Not without the main topic of these issues. The one thing the surviving groups have going for them is the element of surprise. Negan doesn't yet know that retaliation is coming, not really. He's prepared for it, of course, as he is for most things. But the people who pay tribute turning on him? It's not that high on his list of expectations. Not until Rick decides to attack prematurely. This comic was all right, but I'm far more interested in what it has set the stage for. The next arc should be quite compelling. I was so happy when I saw this until I turned the page. Yes, he's over the top, but, as far as I'm concerned, so is King Ezekiel. Still, I've impressed how Kirkman continues to keep this story fresh and exciting. He keeps me, a fully-declared zombie hater, coming back for more. ( )
