This book was loaned to us in the months leading up to Ms birth and we liked it so much we bought it shortly after Ms was born. Mx really seemed to be comforted by the fact he would always be the 1st. It is sweet story about becoming a big sibling and I'm not going to lie, I lost it a bit on the "You were the first to teach us how to be parents" page. You were the first is a touching story that goes through all of the "first's" parents and babies go through as their first born grows up. It creates a nostalgic feeling and makes the first-born feel special. This book is good to read when expecting a sibling and wanting to show the first child that they are still loved and important. The illustrations are beautiful and fit well with the story. It was a cute book and would be good and relevant to read to children and students. You Were The First is a book explaining to a child that is about to get a new sibling that no matter how many siblings come along, you will always be special because you were the first. I enjoyed the story because it made the existing child feel special and solidified their spot in mommy and daddy's hearts. Having a new human being come into your life permanently is scary on any level whether it be by birth or by marriage or by long lost family. The simple fact that a child does not know what to expect from this new person is usually daunting. I'm happy the parents took the time to make the child feel special and more inclined to welcome his new sibling. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
