My dislike of this book is not the story, and not the art, but the way the two combine together. The story seems so rushed. The details are missing. It feels like YA instalove. Plus I really don't care for how the artist has placed what seems like random boobs on various pages. And they are not there because it’s a love scene. For example one of the characters seems to be watching porn, but it has nothing to do with anything else. I know this is just the first volume in what will probably be a 4-6 book series, but there are still just so many questions. It has large holes, that I don’t expect to be answered as the series moves on. This is a Showalter book I have not read yet, but the manga has made me more interested in picking up the original book. Plus, You can tell this has been translated. First off original publication year is 2011, and while thought and speech bubbles have been put back into english, the side graphics, exclamations, etc have not. I didn’t have high hopes for this going in, but I still wanted it to be better. I think this story may be too complicated for its current form. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Those crimson eyes look like they want nothing more than to turn this whole world to ash...But I would die happy if he killed me right now. Ashlyn has a strange power: she hears the voices of the past that linger in this world. Since she was a child, she's lived a noisy and lonesome life. But when she hears the rumors of angels living in an ancient castle in Budapest, she can't help but venture into their forest. There, she sees a muscular man covered in fresh blood, a man who advances on her with murder in his eyes. But instead of fear, she feels a complete and total silence descend upon her. And an indescribable sense of security... No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

I will say it’s got that classic shojo look where the males look like giants compared to the girls haha. I have always loved the unrealistic heights men have in shojo manga it’s hilarious. The art is decent but has its derpy moments haha. ( )
