This book is based on some great ideas - mythical creatures that really exist such as sasquatch and wendigo, an epic journey, a circus, adventure, betrayal, and cultural clashes - and once it finally gets going, the adventure is fun and engrossing. My expectations were high because I love Kenneth Oppel's Airborn series, and he doesn't disappoint me with his really interesting and well written characters in Boundless. Although the plot never quite lives up to the potential of all of those amazing ingredients, it's worth it to stick with it for running along the tops of moving trains at night, struggling with creepy specters in bogs, and the rest of the exciting adventure. I'm finding that it's one of those books that sticks in my head, and I'm liking it more the more I think about it. ( ) Excellent, steampunky, train-based adventure in an alternate wild West where the Sasquatch run free. Will is working on finding his own adventures and deciding who he will become -- the ambitious clerk his father hopes for, or the artist his heart desires. In the meantime, giant trains, circus folk, a crazy funeral car treasure heist and adventure abounds. I'm glad to have a Kenneth Oppel title to recommend to those readers a little young for the Airborn series. Advanced reader copy provided by edelweiss. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
