I thought this was a great counting book especially with sharing the dog images with the children. This book did well with the illustrations and keeping you wanting to keep reading. I think this would be a great book to read in a classroom for the children and keep them excited to learn. ( )

Dog loves books so much that he can't go to sleep. He goes on a adventure counting and making friends on the way, all while trying to put himself to sleep (He prefers reading over sleep). The illustrations used his imagination to draw out the characters and I really like the creativity. The book will help young readers learn the numbers 1-10, while entertaining them with the beautiful drawings. Every animal had features that represented the number they were on. This is a great book for kids that love counting everything in books or have problems with learning their numbers. Also a great book to introduce friendships and how helping one another will help solve conflicts. ( )

Dog loves to read and one night went on an adventure with many friends. Along his journey he found ten friends to keep counting with. The book could be best used in pre-k and kindergarten. The book shows how numbers are spelled out and the way they are written. Also, the book relates numbers to how many legs or spots or something that another animal has on its body. At the end of the book it counts backwards which is another good math strategy to help students learn to count. The book was enjoyable and fun for students to read. ( )
