Comparing this to the last original graphic novel Fables had "Wolves of the Heartland," this was a lot better. For one this actually felt like a Fables story. I also enjoyed the art in the book better too. I like seeing the the Fables ladies drawn in different styles.

Two things that I didn't like about the book though was it got confusing at times int the plot, but like most mysteries the ending made things more clear. My biggest complaint though is this had some HUGE spoilers if you are not aware of or have read the events in the Snow White story arch. And the fact they released the Snow White trade after this didn't make sense to me. I think this was more of the publishers fault though rather then the writers.

Still this as a fun read for Fable fans. Still not as good as 1001 Night of Snowfall, but it was good for the Fairest spin-off. ( )

Some of the art styles really ruined the story for me. Shame.

It's an 2,5 star for me really. A bit above ok but to say I actually liked it... I mainly liked the mirrors part. ( )

Fairest. The story of Cinderella, this time trying to solve a murder mystery as all the 'fairest in the land' (there are amusingly many of them) are dropping like flies. It's actually a fairly decent murder mystery and while you completely expect that there will be some way (MAGIC!) to bring them back in the end, there's still a chance that they might not.

It's decent, although there are better Fables stories. Better Fairest stories even.

Spoilers:

True enough. Cinderella is a fun character.

That's actually a pretty good point. Especially given at this point, she's had to choose who lives and who dies in a handful of situations...

That's such a crazy scene. And a crazy car. I wonder if/when that will go wrong (as with so many things in this series). ( )

The cinderella spin-off series may have been a bit of a dud, but ith Willingham back at the helm we see Cinderella take on Goldilocks in a great showdown. The story is narrated by the Magic Mirror (since it begins in the Lost Business Office where the Mirror resides), which is what makes the story more than just a simple "who-dun-it." The mirror is simultaneously trying for figure out who controls him while following Cinderella virutally on her quest, so we are privy to a much more complex storyline. Goldilocks might be the obvious villain in the story, but her actions are being influenced by Hadeon - the witch who was bound in the shape of a car. I smell a new big foe coming up, don't you? ( )
