This book is about a small settlement in New York called Sleepy Hollow that is said to have been bewitched in it's early days, when it was first settled. The town is mostly known for the ghost of the headless man who is said to be the ghost of a Hessian soldier who lost his head in the Revolutionary War; he now rides to the scene of the battle in quest of his head. The author is very descriptive in his writing. This book would be great to use for upper elementary students or even middle school students, especially during Halloween. ( )
