( ) I don't think Marsh's books have aged quite as well as her fellow Queens of Crime Dorothy L. Sayers and Agatha Christie. Obviously they're all very much of their time, but somehow this felt much more dated. Perhaps it's because I was listening to the audio version rather than reading. I also felt it was rather derivative of Sayers - Artists in Crime was published in 1938, after most of the Lord Peter Wimsey books, and Alleyn and Troy very much came off as pale imitations of Wimsey and Harriet Vane. It's entertaining enough, nonetheless. And perhaps I should give it an extra half star for being read by the delightful Benedict Cumberbatch. Masterfully done, sir. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

But before Agatha Troyartist and instructorreturns to the class, the pose has been re-enacted in earnest: the model is dead, fixed for ever in one of the most dramatic poses Troy has ever seen. It's a difficult case for Chief Detective Inspector Alleyn. How can he believe that the woman he loves is a murderess? No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
