I love the setting, the drama and the cosy feeling these stories give me. ( ) Digital audiobook narrated by C.S.E. Cooney Book three in the “Charmed Pie Shoppe” series gets more ridiculous. I guess I need some pie, because I’m no longer charmed by the eccentric characters and the lead character, Ella Mae, drives me crazy. I haven’t read book # 2 yet (for some reason there is an insane number of holds on that Overdrive audio through my library). So, I was quite surprised to learn Yes, there’s a murder. Yes, she gets some magical help from other “others.” The romance is heating up (literally and figuratively). I pushed to finish only because it fit a challenge. Oh, well. It was a fast read at least. C.S.E.Cooney does a fine job narrating the audiobook. She sets a good pace and her diction is clear enough that I could listen at double speed. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Owning the Charmed Pie Shoppe and serving enchanted treats in the magical town of Havenwood, Georgia, seemed like a little slice of heaven for Ella Mae LeFaye. But now her hopes for both a lasting romance with Hugh Dylan and business success are starting to seem like pie in the sky, and Ella's left wondering: Where has the magic gone? When an enchanted grove is set ablaze, Ella realizes that she has more grave problems. With her magic waning, she's going to have to sleuth from scratch to stop an arsonist who has no respect for sacred ground-or human life. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
