I have read many many books with to my 3 year old entirely on the basis of them having a truck on the cover, and this is the best of them. Each page has a poem about some type of truck or industrial machine. The illustrations are nicely detailed, and the poems are cute, fun-to-read, and not overlong. Highly recommended for little kids who love trucks. This is a poetry book all about different types of trucks and construction mobiles. It has a poem for street sweepers, garbage trucks, dump trucks, backhoe, steel loader, excavator, bulldozer, cement mixer, fire truck, ambulance, cherry picker, tow truck, steam roller, forklift, semi truck, and a snowplow. For each machine or truck their is a poem that describes what the machine or truck does. This book has a central message of being proud of what you do. Summary of Book: This book's main focus is on providing information about how different types of vehicles serve their purpose in society. This book is a combination of many different poems about different vehicles and gives specific detail on what they do. This book also goes into career exploration due to the information about each vehicle that is given. Personal Reaction: I feel like this book is geared to a very early childhood classroom. I like how this book shows the many different uses of many different vehicles. I also like how this book could even be tied to career exploration because of the specific details it gives. Classroom Extension: In an early childhood classroom, I would let my students play with the toy version of all of the vehicles that were mentioned in this book. I would then have each one of them pick only one vehicle to represent themselves and then tell my why they chose that particular vehicle. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Sixteen boisterous, rhyming poems â?? each one highlighting the job and personality of a different vehicle, from a backhoe to an ambulance to a snowplow â?? invite young children to meet their favorite trucks face-to-face. Cheerful illustrations show each one in action, digging (or dozing, or dumping) away. Engaging visual details like an anxious turtle crossing the street just ahead of a steamroller are sure to keep preschoolers poring over the pages as they consider the question, "Trucks as far as eyes can see. . . . Which truck would you like to No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
