Although the hardcover edition I own already begins to fall apart due to the time which has passed and the thousands of times I opened the pages, it still enthralls me to even think of the amount of time I spent with this book in my childhood, fascinated with animals as I was back then. The wonderfully elaborate descriptions of each single mammal allowed this to become a fascinating work which I'd even call a must-read for everyone interested in animals and their habitats. ( )
