I liked the relationship between these two, the puzzles and riddles were fun to try and figure out and I'm glad we didn't have to go through ALL of the various challenges they had to endure. It's been awhile since I'd read the series came before this, several memory jiggles.

Nice to see more of the world of the Sons of Destiny - now I need to look at the last few books of that series to see the interactions that show up at the end here (Dominor with Kerric). Decent romance - rushed, but reasonably rushed. And extremely erotic - explicit, but not in the least clinical. It's neat the way the erotic scenes are necessary to the plot, neither pasted on nor even a side-plot. The plot is rather contrived, but given the initial setup the rest of it makes sense (and again, neat to see some of the repercussions from events I saw from a different viewpoint). The only problem is that this is the first of another 8-book series...and they're not all out yet (I think the third is just out, maybe a couple more). I'm going to have to wait to read the rest of it! ( )

Not terrible but nothing terribly standout about this, the relationship didn't convince me and it just felt like a role-playing-game scenario made into a book.

And then there's the cover. AUGH! She's not dark enough or clothed enough or tattooed enough for the character who's written. He's also not a foot shorter, as depicted. It was fun to read about a tall woman and a short man, for a change and there were moments where this was quite interesting but that was more the interaction between the characters than the adventure.

Readable but didn't make me want to hunt up more by the author, I won't avoid her but she's not an author who I make a special effort to find. ( )
