Most people reading this today may not remember the Mass now called by many as the Tridentine Latin Mass of the Roman rite, the Mass of Saint Pius V. What we have today is not what was ordered for in Vatican II, a reformed version of the Mass of St. Pius V, but a Novous Ordo Missae, a new Mass, that was not what the Council ever envisaged. The author has been proved correct in that most Churches today are living proof that the Roman rite of the Latin Mass has been destroyed. Yet a minority still hold to Catholic Dogma and are labeled traditionalist. History has shown us even a minority of one can be correct and remain faithful during penal times; re: St. Athanasius.
The Novous Ordo Missae was defined as a Protestant service and can be officially celebrated in such a manner that not only Anglicans but Evangelical Protestants feel at home with it and consider that its theology conforms to Protestant norms. Protestants have good cause to be joyful at these transformations. St. John Fisher summed it quit well and the author uses this in his booklet when he stated: “The fort is betrayed even by them that should have defended it.”.
