This book chronicles a mouse that is running home because he is late for dinner. As he attempts to rush home, he encounters other animals on his way. He gets mud on other animals, ruins a painting, makes a mess, and gets himself into trouble. Each time he bothers another animal he says sorry. When he gets home, his mom tells him he is late. He says that he is sorry and that he ran as fast as he could. The lesson in this story is to be on time and always say sorry when you make a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes but it is how we respond to the mistakes that really matters. We need to take responsibility for our mistakes and learn from these experiences. We need to take the time to apologize and try our best not to make the same mistakes. Also, being on time can allow for some mistakes to never happen in the first place. This lesson is shown through the key details of the mouse and the reaction of the animals he encounters. The illustrations depict how sad and frustrated the mouse is when he is making mistakes on his way home. You can see how sorry the mouse is for being late to dinner and that although he made mistakes, he tried his best. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
