This book offers a good collection of daily strips of Bill Amend's "Foxtrot" series. I found it pretty amusing... not laugh-out-loud funny, but with sufficiently fresh ideas to keep me reading.

In one storyline, Jason and Marcus go to science summer camp, and are outwitted by Eileen and Phoebe, with whom they eventually become friends. In another, Jason does clever parodies of other popular cartoons of the day -- "Cathy", "Hagar the Horrible", Doonesbury", and "Dilbert".

As with most cartoon books, this one is best read in small doses. Though none too familiar with the FoxTrot strip, I enjoyed this collection. No doubt, fans of FoxTrot will as well. ( )

This collection is excellent. Bill Amend has a gift of making the everyday family hilarious and very true. I could relate to a lot of the strips. I love the simple, well drawn style of the comic and the imaginative take on situations. Highly recommended. ( )

This one has an interesting storyline where Jason and Marcus go off to science summer camp, and strive against and eventually become friends with Eileen and Phoebe. Jason will never admit to it, though. ( )
