This would be a great book for an only child or a child struggling to understand why there are rules. The main character thinks she can do whatever she want but in return gets in trouble. She then gets a puppy and learns that rules are good and meant to be followed so things aren't too wild. Ages 3-6 Pierce County Library This book is about a little girl who likes to follow her own rules and then she gets a dog who likes to follow it's own rules. By the end the two learn how to cooperate and give and take to get along and become best friends. This book would be perfect to read when teaching children that sometimes you need to learn to cooperate and have teamwork in order to get along. Ages: 3-5.
