A clever little story! I really enjoyed it, and so did my son, even if the plot and the twist seemed very familiar, a bit in the spirit of the classic fairytales/fables. All the bits of the plot added up nicely, with a good build up in the story. My kid, who's only just turned five, was a little puzzled when the invitation finally showed up and had to be helped just a little bit to make sense of it all.

I notice that this book is sort of part of an ongoing series. I'll admit that it might spur me to take a star off my rating if this story is just rehashing of the earlier [b:My Lucky Day|68788|My Lucky Day|Keiko Kasza|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1309210225s/68788.jpg|1773794] that we'll now try to find and read, but it truly is a good story in itself, even so.
