Wilson correctly affirms that joy is not something we can manufacture by our own strength. Nor is it something which comes to us only when our cicrumstances are ideal. It is instead a fruit fo the Spirit which God gives us when we serve Him - and a gift God desires to bestow on every believer. And it comes not as we pursue it as an end in itself, but as we submit ourselves to Christ and actively serve Him daily through our lives and our witness.
