We got a glimpse of of Jaci's up coming series, watched two opposites attract in Carly's and laughed a lot in Jessica and Erin's stories. ( ) I thoroughly enjoyed that book...all the novellas are light and funny. Definitely a great beach read Overall rating would be 4.5 stars Hope Smolders Jaci Burton 5 stars Great beginning novella to a new series I am now really looking forward to. This is a sweet touching story about Jane - a women who was badly burned by her ex husband and Will - a caring guy who wants to show Jane how to love and live again. Perfect Stranger Carly Phillips 5 stars Another great Serendipity story. Alexa an overworked ER doc needs to learn to relax and Luke a visit NFL star is just the guy to help her do it. The Legend of Jane Jessica Clare 4 stars Fun fun story where the local police officer arrests the crazy blogger woman and of course sparks fly! Ice Princess Erin McCarthy 4 stars Hilarious!! Chelsea a fun loving woman who is afraid of skiing spends the week in Lake Placid and meets the fun but lost ski instructor in a most unusual way. Things get steamy fast!! I think the people next to me left because I was laughing so hard I highly recommend this book!! Hope Smolders - Jaci Burton - 3 Stars - Jane Kline, Will Griffin - A more than decent story with lots of steaminess but I am not head over heels in love with it. Perfect Stranger - Carly Phillips - 4 Stars - Luke Thompson, Alexa Collins - Alexa is way more brave than I ever think I could be. I raise my glass to her for taking a chance. The Legend of Jane - Jessica Clare - - - Ice Princess - Erin McCarthy - 3 Stars - Chelsea Carruthers, Brody Durbin - I am confused as to why this winter set book was included in this anthology however I will not complain about the story. I liked it. I really loved this anthology! The heroine in Jaci Burton's story is divorced with two kids and it's kind of a second chance love story. She is still coming to terms with her new life and thinks she doesn't have any time for romance. I loved how the hero wiggled his way into her life. I enjoyed the set up for Jaci Burton's new series and I'm looking very much forward to the first full length novel. The Carly Phillips story was my first by her and even though I liked it, I felt a bit lost at times due to the fact I didn't know any of the Serendipity characters. I didn't know what to think of Jessica Clare's story at first but I ended up loving it. 'Jane', whose real name is Luanne, can't work in her original job any more, so she does outlandish stunts and reports for her blog to have some kind of income. Hank Sharp is the town sheriff and doesn't feel like he has to offer a woman very much. He is very tall and very unexciting with an average face. But Luanne sees him and dubs him 'Officer Hotness' and they have an instant attraction for each other. It's a very fun and sexy story! Erin McCarthy's story is about Chelsea who accompanies two of her friends and their boyfriends to a skiing weekend. Because she is single she feels like the odd one out and would rather hide in her room than go skiing. She literally falls into Brody's arms, who is a former professional skier and feels kind of lonely. It turns out he is also her skiing instructor and they start having an affair but soon realize they want more from each other. I would say it's a typical Erin McCarthy story with a lot of funny and sexy moments. What confused me: Why is the anthology called "Hot Summer Nights" when two of the stories are set during autumn/winter? sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
