great read for mysql nerds wanted to learn more about optimization. (

MySQL, the free software database management system, has found wide-spread use, is quite fast, but lacks in literature, especially when it comes to problem solving. This is one of few books that address such issues. It appeared in 2004. I wish it had appeared two or three years earlier. Now I wish there was a replacement that covered more issues and was more up-to-date with the recent versions the software. (
