This book relates to the game "Mage: the Ascension" and is really two books that were crammed together at a later time. It deals with two of the several factions within the technocracy (techno-magical secret society that shaped the world's current metaphysics).

Of the two factions I've always found the Void Engineers (defenders of Earth and explorers of the realms beyond) of more interest, and because half the book deals with them I like it very much.

The other reason I like this book so much is that it contains alot of Leif Jones artwork.
