With childlike drawings, Cobb helps explain the troubles kids go through when they lose someone close to them, and provides some hope to those who find little consolation. ( )

The book's speaker is a young boy who has recently loss his mother. He tells us how he feels sad, angry, jealous, and even guilty. His father explains to him what it means when someone dies, and how he did nothing wrong. While the story was heartbreakingly hard to read, I think this book could help many younger students who are dealing with loss. ( )

This book is great for kids who have lost their moms. The book asks questions from a child's point of view and things they would wonder on a daily basis about where their mom might have gone. The end is happy and talks about being able to communicate with their family to help them feel better. Ages 3-6 Pierce County Library

This book is a perfect resource for families who have had a parent or family member pass away, it's great at explaining what happens and how to feel better as a kid. Ages: 3-5.
